Step 10. Set Up/Delete/Change Special Tax Considerations (Optional) |
What is a Special Tax Consideration? |
A special tax consideration is a reason for modifying the way CPP/QPP, EI, and/or federal and provincial taxes are normally calculated on an employee's earnings.
Why do I have to do this? |
It is NOT necessary to set up special tax considerations for a new employee unless there is some unusual circumstance affecting an employee's statutory deductions. Most employees do NOT have special tax considerations. It is quite possible that none of your employees will have need of this screen.
Changes to an existing employee's special tax considerations must be entered immediately in order to avoid incorrect payments.
